DAY 0 - Morning

[Good morning, contestants!

One moment, you were receiving a mysterious envelope marked "Greetings from Islandia". The next moment, you're waking up on a beach.

Twenty-four people are scattered across the sands of a beautiful tropical beach, all somewhere in the middle of waking up. To your right, a sunrise over a gentle sea. To your left, dense, vibrant jungle.

There are two signs of civilization here! One is a shipwreck, about half of a good-sized ship emerging morosely from the waves. The other is a wooden sign at the edge of the jungle, showing simply an arrow pointing deeper into the island. Looking a bit closer, there is a narrow but well-maintained path into the jungle.

[He headed towards one of the trees - and stepped his foot on the trunk]

Huh - so the technique won't work here?

[Dororo mutters to himself, well he can't just walk up the tree - so he'll climb! Given his small size and the rough trunk, it wasn't too hard - just longer then just walking up

Soon his head pops out from the foliage]

I'm ready to cut them down.

Tiny edge cases, huh. Well, what if I wanted to end disease. Or world peace, or some other pageant queen bullshit like that?

[ this guy looks like he got a little too much Gunsmoke mook put in him. Wolfwood's eyes track the card as it whipcords through the air, narrowed, sharp.

and then he feels his eyebrow tick. ]

[ loitering at the back of the crowd, Wolfwood cuts a fairly imposing figure even without the cross strapped across his shoulders, pockets stuffed with waterlogged cigarettes, empty casings. there's nothing aggressive in his stance, only a taut wariness which winds up tighter at murder, loosens again, and then comes back worse still when that voice pipes up in his head.

isn't the first time he's had something like that happen. ]

I dunno. Some of these chicks look like they're ready to work on their tans...

[That green haired girl in particular, though he didn't talk to her.]

Not that I was paying that much attention or anything.

[ Lord, are you trying to test him? s'almost like home. he stops walking, watches her feel up the palm tree a minute.

yeah, that sure is the shortstack, alright. so where's the big one? ]

Well, that works just fine for me! I planned to from the start. But it's important to know where the limits lie.

[He scratches under his nose, and nods to himself.]

[Leorio shoves his hands in his pockets as they go a bit further, looking around at the sides of the trail as they walk. The sound of birds is natural enough, though coming across some markings on the trees, he muses aloud]

Wonder what kind of wild animals live here... If we have to hunt for food, I don't wanna be stuck with just papayas. We'd have to rename this place Fruit Fart Island.

[She looks at him curiously, wondering what this 'technique' could possibly be.]

Okay! I'm ready on my end as well, so fire away!

[Leorio snickers at that.]

All right, good point. I definitely don't have anything against a girl with a tan... or a bikini.... But, you know. Priorities!

Thinking about that, though, it would probably be best if everyone went in around the same time. That way no one gets left behind in case the jungle is harder to travel than it looks.

[And that's her cue to compose herself! She straightens out with a huff]

I'm to understand you're from a different world that has these luxuries. Am I right?

[Novel foliage aside, that voice is not one she's expecting to hear. She abandons her new friend to whirl around]
