DAY 1 - Morning

GOOD MORNING, CONTESTANTS! Everyone, out of the lodge! I've got some important announcements to make!

[The remnants of yesterday's feast are all gone, but in its place are some leaflets containing the profiles filled out from each player's questionnaire results. M.C is waiting outside. As soon as everyone it outside, he pushes a button on some sort of handheld device, and the lodge explodes, harmlessly but spectacularly.]

Welcome to Day 1 of the Islandia Games! Things are about to start heating up!

Before we get to today's challenges, I'd like to announce our very first elimination! That's right, the spy network are already hard at work, and have voted to take Maou Sadao out of the game! Sorry, hope your wish wasn't too important!

[Maou's body glows for a moment, and he is suddenly catapulted into the sky like some kind of rocket. Rather than falling back down afterwards, he disappears off towards what appears to be a single star in the sky, except that it's slowly orbiting the island.]

Maou was an ordinary villager. All special roles are still in the game!

For the twenty-three players remaining, your objective for today is to reach lounge number two! Since this is the first day, we've kept it nice and simple - there's a bonfire lit outside the camp, so all you have to do is follow the smoke and find your way through the wilderness to your destination! Oh, and by the way - your food supplies are whatever you can scrounge up for yourselves along the way!

I'll be waiting for you at lounge two. Goooood luck!

[Got a lot of ground to cover today. Pick a prompt or make up your own!

A - Navigation! Which way is it to the next lodge? Will someone have to climb a tree to get a better look around? Which path will lead there without drowning in underbrush? Is that quicksand?

B - Trailblazing! The jungle is not an easy trek! Depending on your route, cutting through the underbrush, rock climbing, logs balanced precariously over ravines and more await you on your path from here to there. Happy hiking.

C - Foraging! What will you scrounge up to eat during your hike? Along the more watery bits of the trail, one might find some lotus or water lily. A bit closer to Lodge 2, a more obvious food source in the form of a grove of banana trees. Plenty of other things grow in this jungle if you're crafty enough to find them.

D - Resting! You're not just going to trudge through the jungle all day, are you? Good to rest your legs for a bit every now and then, dig into your food supplies, and talk. Remember to link your private conversations!]

Hey wai-WHOOOOAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH...

[And he's gone.]

[Guess who's combining the two? Sugar is. To be more specific, she's pulling random branches and undergrowth out of her way and eating what she manages to break free. If only she had been wearing something more suited to this than a cute pink dress.]

Hold on - let's take a look to see what's ahead. It might not be as simple as walking from A to B.

[While he could no longer teleport or simply walk up trees, he can still climb and jump easily. Dororo disappears into the foliage, which then rattles as his head pops up, his small hand shielding his eyes as he scans the horizon]

[First of all, the nice, safe lodge explodes and then people are getting shot into space? When he learned about people being eliminated, he wasn't expecting something like this. And frankly, he's not even sure if that actually happened.

He just sits there in silence, staring up at the sky where Maou was sent to, before throwing his arms into the air exasperatedly.]

...what. What in the world just happened?

[Well. Somewhat. Greg is trying to help blaze the trail. He has his frog on top of his teakettle hat and is running ahead and off the trail, hitting bushes and trees with a stick, and pretending it's a sword to chop through the jungle with. Every so often, if no one stops him, he'll dart out away from the trail and vanish for a good fifteen minutes.

Maybe someone wants to make sure the tiny child doesn't fall off a cliff? Or else just help him pretend to clear brush.]

I... uh.... [Yeah, he's got nothing.]

Either this show has all its budget in special effects, or we just found out how they transport people.

W-where did he go? [Special effects or not, Wirt is highly disturbed and also slightly worried for the poor guy.]

[That he at least noticed while he was staring in confusion. He points up.]

See that? Well, I can't really make out what it is, but it's moving. Some kind of... satellite?

[He's frowning too, though. Being launched like that can't be good for your body.]

A. NAVIGATION

[Although Iori herself can't do anything amazing like climbing trees, she's making absolutely certain that she doesn't accidentally set off any booby traps or anything like that. She will warn the others if necessary, however.]

C. FORAGING

[Iori's looking pretty excited as she wanders around, but since lunch is getting closer and closer. . . It looks like it's high time to just search for some food! Which is exactly what Iori's doing as she squats down, staring at the flowers.

And possibly the trees, too.]

D. RESTING

[This isn't her first time actually doing such a thing, but she's a rather normal person, so she does get exhausted after a while, so she's going to take a breather for a bit and dig into what food she managed to get - that includes the papayas that they got yesterday, looking rather pleased with herself.

If anybody has anything to say to her, either in public or private, now's your chance. Plus, she might share if she's feeling generous.]

[Being a woman of relatively short stature who has never actually seen these kind of trees before, Meryl's probably not going to be much use. But she is looking up at the fruit with interest]

I'm not so sure that's a good idea...

[Yeah, Meryl's not about to let a tiny child wander off into the jungle alone, she's definitely going to make sure the tiny child doesn't fall off a cliff]

Hello. Are you exploring?

[She's staring at the sight in horror, but not for the reasons you may think]

I.... I'm not sure....

WHOOOA!!

[Watching him blast off...]

Is... is he gonna be okay?

[Despite being a law student first, and an artist second, Robin was also a member of track and field. This jog wasn't that hard for someone as MANLY as that.

She jogged up, eyes falling on Iori.]

Sup! Taking a break?

We're blazing the trail!

[Smacking a rock with his tree branch.]

Don't worry, guys! Finding the next lodge will be a piece of cake! I mean it'd be easier if I had my navigator with me but even still.

[Annnd there she goes, faster than a speeding bullet into the jungle. Manami can't be stopped once she's going,so someone might have to stop her before she does something stupid.]

[Robin was the kind of person that bravely dashed forward no matter what was in the way, because that was the MANLY thing to do!

Of course that means that Robin is now stuck in a bush.

It's fun, isn't it?

[She'll just provide some adult supervision while she's at it.]

I've never blazed a trail before. [This is not a lie] Can you teach me?

Worry not, contestants! Maou has been banished to the Loser's Lounge, where he can watch the rest of the game in comfort. Guaranteed 100% safe!
