I dunno. I could say that I haven't done anything wrong and I could be a spy.

[There's an easy shrug of her shoulders.]

But you sound like you really don't like detectives.

Are you a spy?

[giving her a critical look now]

And the only detective I know back home is a li'l obnoxious, that's why.

Maybe, maybe not. Even if I said I wasn't, there's no proof that I'm a spy. But there's no proof otherwise, either.

And I see, I see... [She nods, understanding.] I guess those types are kind of. Hmm, how do I put it... annoying, I guess. But not bad people.

That's not a very good argument in your defense.

And I never said he was a bad person.

I know. But I've never had any proof to begin with! [Totally nonchalant about this whole thing, really.]

Nope, but I'm just making sure of it. There can be bad detectives in real life, after all. Oh, and I don't mean bad as in dumb.

It's just not that difficult to discern what you mean using context clues.
