DAY 0 - Morning

[Good morning, contestants!

One moment, you were receiving a mysterious envelope marked "Greetings from Islandia". The next moment, you're waking up on a beach.

Twenty-four people are scattered across the sands of a beautiful tropical beach, all somewhere in the middle of waking up. To your right, a sunrise over a gentle sea. To your left, dense, vibrant jungle.

There are two signs of civilization here! One is a shipwreck, about half of a good-sized ship emerging morosely from the waves. The other is a wooden sign at the edge of the jungle, showing simply an arrow pointing deeper into the island. Looking a bit closer, there is a narrow but well-maintained path into the jungle.

Probably. But that's because it's probably not smart to assume the island has food available to scavenge.

[Wow. He takes off his jacket for one minute and they're gasping - oh wait is that a dude. God it figures. He keeps shaking out the jacket, though now he is doing so while looking confused.]

Jeez, what're you going on about? Don't just go up to a guy and say he's Mr. Right!

[STANDING ON A ROCK. but. overhears his mumbling]

[flashbacks to his witch friend who is pals with Lucifer go here]

Atmosphere's always an important part, fair enough. Aaand yep! I'm guessin' that's how they got the lot of us.

[He raises an arm in front of his face whilst coughing and hacking. Euuugh...thank god for being covered in so many layers.]

As I was saying, you'd do the same thing too if you were stuck in unfamiliar place!

[taps the toes of his sneakers against the rock]

I can see a li'l more of the area this way. Though. . .

There isn't really much to see other than water and plants.

Though most people stuck on deserted islands don't usually get to pick an' choose, either. Caaaaase in point. [gestures to the general area, since. yeah.]

[Kanade was about ten feet past by the time he finished waking up. He normally woke up quickly, but he'd been stuck with the closing shift last night. Always takes it out of you.]

...UWAAH!??

[Yup, he's awake now.]

[he was known for having quite the sweet tooth]

I've never heard of letters that capture you and take you somewhere else! But I suppose there're always techniques you haven't heard of.

The tricky bit is how they managed to make it so I can't quite reach my true self.

What the heck is this? Are we in Okinawa? Does Okinawa even have shipwrecks?!

[There's a delay before his response as he takes in the scenery for a minute.]

I'm quite fond of the hard type that crunches in your teeth. Can do a lot of different flavors with those, too.

Who cares if it's cheating? I don't want to be on an abandoned island!

[Kanade has just about ignored him by the time she screams, making her jump several feet in the air in response. She gives a small shout and spins around once she lands, clutching her chest.]

[He scoffs and crosses his arms.]

Well, excuse you! I'm sticking by my answer because I'm powerful enough to leave anyway! That's why material things aren't needed.

I don't know, I don't know, and any shoreline technically could have ship wrecks...

[She reaches a hand out.] Come on Hibiki, off the dirt.

Other than apparently having been captured in my sleep and dragged off to a deserted island, yes I'm fine.

[She gives a little huff.]

Not like anyone else is any better, there.

Yeah, this body's just my avatar body. Really, if I could bring part of myself here, I could just cart everyone out across the ocean! But maybe they have a way to prevent just swimming out of here. That'd be problematic. On the bright side, this is a nice beach!
