DAY 1 - Evening

[It's been a long walk, but welcome to Lounge Two! It looks a lot like Lounge One, although the food spread isn't quite as impressive this time. Gotta motivate some hardcore survival, after all.

CONGRATULATIONS! You've made it through the first day, and it's time to relax... but not for long! Eat well, check out your new rooms, and when the sun touches the horizon, it'll be time for... the Trial of Justice!

...Th-the detective might not want to say anything to anyone yet, but we still have the scientist-detective, don't we? Why- why don't we just wait for her to figure out who the spies are for now? [At least, that's his plan. She seems trustworthy enough and smart!]

[she seems fifteen and using science to prove the beach is a beach, so axel is a eh on that one]

I wouldn't put all our eggs into the, uh, "scientist-detective" basket quite yet, but sure, overall trying to deduce ain't bad. Except now we've said that's what we're doing, the spies could preeeetty easily frame someone with that mindset. Like, say they kick off creep-clown-guy because the other guy mentioned he wanted him out. We go for the bait an' end up kicking the wrong guy out. Get what I'm saying about long-term planning?

Oh. [He didn't even think about anything like that..]

Then- then what do you think we should do, for long-term plans? Just.. wait until there's someone innocent enough for the detective to talk to?

No way. That's wasting a good couple of days of voting while they're picking us off. There's no point in abstainin' when we know the other guys aren't about to.

But we don't know who to vote for.

For the first day, there's nothing wrong with goin' with our little Miss Detective's plan. After that... that's what I think we should be tryin' to figure out.

Okay. [This is going to be pretty hard though, without extra help for the first few days.]

I-I don't have any idea what to do after today, though. If guessing and making assumptions isn't going to work, I mean. [He's a pretty useless guy, sorry.]

[dw axel is so used to useless guys you have no idea. plus. y'know. kids.]

Whatever we do, we should try doin' it as a group. 'Cause the people who'll try to go against it--I mean, not the ones we're voting for, obviously, no one wants to be kicked out--but if you try votin' for someone an' more than one person goes "no", then that's a pretty good hint we're getting somewhere, right? Either the spy way or the villager way. The only thing we've got on spies is numbers.

[Wow he isn't a kid! He's, like, in highschool!]

Oh, yeah. That- that actually sounds like a good idea but... m-maybe a spy would vote out another one to stay innocent?

[exfired]

[everyone is a kid to axel. everyone. don't feel bad some of his best friends are kids! ... most. most of his best friends. he has a problem.]

They might! But we've still got numbers on 'em. If they vote each other out, they're lowering their chances of winning. They can only win if half the people remaining are spies, an' since there's only so many of them to begin with...

Oh, r-right. [He had forgotten about that..]

Then, I guess there isn't anything wrong with your plan. [Which is good because it's a good plan!]

Um.

But if we picked wrong, didn't we lose double the people we did on our team?

[exfired]

Yeeep. But we can't just abstain every night until we're 100% on who we're voting off.

[candyrocks]

I guess I don't get it...'cause how does voting somebody off now help us any?

[exfired]

Y'don't have to do it. I just don't like wasting turns.

[candyrocks]

[Looking at really seriously, and then a hmph!]

Uh-uh! I'm playing for real, you know! I really, really wanna get a wish! So you gotta explain how come we should vote if you're gonna say we should do it! You gotta explain how come it's a good idea even though there's a bigger chance we'll lose somebody on our side than get them!

[exfired]

[...axel can't take him seriously he just thinks it's adorable. he decides to be honest with the kid, since the votes might wind up public anyway:]

I'm abstainin', actually. I just think there's merit in goin' along with little miss detective.

Oh, that's right. [Dang it.] So if we go with my deductions, we can only do this for the first night, since after that they'll start framing people.

What we really need is for the actual Detectives to have a way to tell people what they know without telling people who they are.

Bingo!

At the same time, we can't just rely on the detectives. At best, it'll take 'em a couple of days to find someone they're 100% positive is either villager or spy.

Scientifically speaking, if they're really lucky in who they investigate, there's a slight chance they could find multiple villagers in one night. But otherwise you're right.

Technically, that'd probably count as unlucky... Either way, it'll take 'em a couple of days to figure out a spy and villager info combo. Not to mention there's the double agent role in there.

It's lucky in some ways. If they have those confirmed villagers, they'll know who to tell their information to. But I guess the double agent would complicate that.

Yeah, if those villagers aren't voted out before they get the info.

[axel why u gotta be such a downer]

Or the detective isn't ejected by the spies.

[Now she's downcast.]

Hey, it's not like detectives are the be-all end-all. You're doing pretty fine on your own right now, aren't ya?
