Yeah, out with it- Wait, who are they even? I didn't memorize people's last names.

[schwings]

I was hoping they would just answer if I said their names... ♣

[He doesn't know either.]

... Well that's gonna make this really hard to narrow down.

[damn spy, don't think you can hide just cause Leorio and Hisoka are lazy]

I'm sure someone knows. All we have to do is wait. ♥

[He's just going to shuffle his cards in the meantime. Hisoka is the picture of productivity.]

We've been here a few days and neither of you have memorized last names yet?

I'm "Mr. Kuroba." Definitely not a spy, and definitely not a detective.

Hey, come on, we only looked at the profiles once at the first lodge. I memorized enough to put on a ballot, that's all!

... And why do you sound like being a detective is worse than being a spy?

And in the context of the game, it isn't, unless it's preceded by the word "spy."

I just know a really smug and smarmy Sherlock Holmes wannabe back home.

Sherlock who? [the problem with not being from actual Earth.] Whatever, he sounds like a tool.

But, that's right... this anonymous person isn't just accusing a spy. Whoever they are, they wanna make damn sure we vote for someone.

I don't know if I believe it yet, but I can't say I blame em', what with our jailer gone.

Sherlock Holmes. Famous literary character. [and then, a bit dismissively] Don't worry, you're not missing much.

[he snorts and folds his arms, expression turning thoughtful]

Our jailer and our first detective. So if this guy is our second one, I can't blame 'em for the anonymity, either. We lost one of our trump cards because Sugar-san was too careless with her role; we don't wanna lose our last one.

[punchestumors]

That's all right, but... you're being pretty cool about the message, for someone that got named.

[carptricks]

No way. I'm annoyed.

[he says flatly]

But I'm also trying to figure out if the message is actually from the detective, and not someone trying to throw us off.

[punchestumors]

Mm... well, fair enough. [he'll back off that, since, yeah it's not like he said anything that wasn't true.]

[carptricks]

[scrutinizing the message, his gaze sharp and his expression thoughtful]

. . . if it's fake, then why hasn't the real detective spoken up by now?

Sorry to interrupt, but have you given anyone reason to vote you off the island, Kaito? Would someone hold a grudge against you right now?

Because if that's the case, this might just be someone trying to frame you.

I'd say that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

And I've heard a lot of stupid things.

That's what the ones under fire usually say, yes. You can do better than that. ♣
