Or you could have taken advantage of the confusion of there being two suspects, and gotten one or two of your spy cohorts to vote for you last round just to make yourself look better for this one.

That's dumb.

Who in their right mind is going to take a risk like that when one tiny slip is going to put them at an even bigger disadvantage? That's really grasping at straws, you know.

Then you must've been confident there wouldn't be a slip.

What's also dumb is assuming the message is trustworthy when it could have come from anyone. Leorio-san got booted this morning, didn't he? And we don't know what his role was.

Trust me, I don't have that much confidence in anyone.

If you're saying that, that means the accusation on me is worthless too.

Then perhaps it's a spy sending a false message to cover their tracks? Accused two under the detective's name, then drop to one to make it sound like they confirmed it.

I- I guess both of us could be innocent, if that was the case...

Maybe. . . but considering no one else spoke up anonymously last round to refute the message, I don't think it's worthless.

It's this round's message that is.

And how is that, besides the fact it's accusing only you now?

I'm not saying you're right or wrong, but if you've got thoughts, let's hear them, okay?

Well, yeah! That's part of it. I know for certain I'm no spy, after all.

'Sides, that coupled with the spies hiding Leorio-san's role from us raises a lot of suspicions in my mind.

All of us are going to say we're not spies, though! Can we all just agree that's a pretty useless defense?

But does that give you any specific suspicions or just back to "we don't know what's what?"
