DAY 0 - Morning

[Good morning, contestants!

One moment, you were receiving a mysterious envelope marked "Greetings from Islandia". The next moment, you're waking up on a beach.

Twenty-four people are scattered across the sands of a beautiful tropical beach, all somewhere in the middle of waking up. To your right, a sunrise over a gentle sea. To your left, dense, vibrant jungle.

There are two signs of civilization here! One is a shipwreck, about half of a good-sized ship emerging morosely from the waves. The other is a wooden sign at the edge of the jungle, showing simply an arrow pointing deeper into the island. Looking a bit closer, there is a narrow but well-maintained path into the jungle.

I dunno, I'd probably call for take out pizza or delivery bento. You'd get pretty hungry pretty quickly on a deserted island.

I was thinking that we might be able to repair it, or at least use the materials to make a boat ourselves, but. . .

I hope it's an invitation to an all-expenses paid resort.

[he says in a deadpan, knowing very well that that's probably not true]

[contrary to his earlier jovial, joking exterior, this question is phrased in a more serious tone]

Yeah, I did. I tried to open it, and next thing I knew, I was here...

Using that envelope as a starting point, I'd say this place is called "Islandia." Pretty apt name, I guess.

Naturally. Though - I would prefer that this knowledge would not be spread too far, as I am afraid Pekoponjins might react badly to the presence of aliens among them.

It's appropriate, but it doesn't tell us much about this place. I wonder what kinda island it is?

Other than deserted.

[Hisoka stands in the center of the trail, his hands on his hips as he surveys the surroundings.]

Hm? [Pulling out a Ace of Spades, Hisoka tosses it towards the stem of a papaya, catching the fruit in his hand.] These are nice and ripe. ♥

[AND THEN HE CRUSHES IT IN HIS HAND...]

[After a couple hours on the trail, the group arrives at some kind of extravagant jungle lodge!

As you approach, there is someone waiting for you. They're wearing a tuxedo, and also appear to have a mailbox with a grin painted on it instead of a head.]

WELCOME, one and all, to... THE ISLANDIA GAMES!

[A small barrage of fireworks go off above the lodge, and three different spotlights shine on the host. Where are they even shining from?]

I, M.C, will be your host for the next few days, as you compete against one another for the ultimate prize! You will need all of your courage and all of your cunning to overcome your fellow contestants, for the only way to win... is MURDER!

[Scare chord!]

No, I'm just kidding! Nobody has to murder anyone else. However, the truth is: Six among you are about to be designated as spies! Those six will have to work together in secret to outsmart the other eighteen, while the rest of you are tasked with figuring out who those spies are! Those who are eliminated will be banished to the Loser's Lounge, whereas those who make it to the final round... will have a chance to have any wish granted to them by our very own Multiverse Administrator, G.O.D!

All the rules of the game will be explained to you the moment you step inside the first lounge. Your roles in this game will be assigned to you... RIGHT NOW!

[At that moment, each of you hears a voice in your head, informing you of your role. Roles have now been ICly assigned.]

THE LOUNGE

[Welcome to Lounge Number One!

A huge sign in the front hall outlines all of the rules of the game, although it doesn't specify what gold coins can be spend on. Each of you also has your own private room, perfectly soundproof and lockable from the inside. Notable things in each room: A questionnaire to help learn a little about you, a confession cam for sharing your secrets and feelings, and three small golden coins.

No open bar, but a huge luau feast has been laid out for all of you to enjoy. For the rest of the first day, you have nothing to do but kick back, relax, and let the paranoia sink in...]
