DAY 0 - Morning

[Good morning, contestants!

One moment, you were receiving a mysterious envelope marked "Greetings from Islandia". The next moment, you're waking up on a beach.

Twenty-four people are scattered across the sands of a beautiful tropical beach, all somewhere in the middle of waking up. To your right, a sunrise over a gentle sea. To your left, dense, vibrant jungle.

There are two signs of civilization here! One is a shipwreck, about half of a good-sized ship emerging morosely from the waves. The other is a wooden sign at the edge of the jungle, showing simply an arrow pointing deeper into the island. Looking a bit closer, there is a narrow but well-maintained path into the jungle.

Maybe not, but it's the first thing I could think of! Besides, I'm pretty sure she would be able to think of a better way out of this scenario that I could.

[ Not that she's degrading herself as she shrugs, she just thinks that Inaban is more suited for that. ]

And of course! It's surprising that there's so many of us here, don't you think?

A little. . . but the number of us isn't the most surprising thing about this scenario.

D'you even remember being on a ship?

[he sure doesn't]

Not at all.

And the only ship I've seen around here is the plastic one!

[carptricks]

[he nods]

I'm the same way.

If that's the ship we took to get here, don't you think we'd remember it?

That depends. If we were kidnapped in such a way that we blacked out that entire time, it's possible not to.

But it doesn't make any sense, since I'm sure a plastic boat wouldn't have been able to take us here, or anywhere, to begin with.

And that's the part I'm concerned about.

[the "possibly blacked out" part]

The plastic ship could be a decoy, y'know?

Then where's the real ship?

[She tilts her head to the right, hand under her chin, thinking.]

Did they actually carry it from one end of the island to another. . .?

They wouldn't have to carry it.

They could just sail it to the other side and park it there.

[livefreely]

You mean... they carried us to shore and then went back on the boat to sail it to the other side? Something like that?

[carptricks]

It's possible.

Only way to find out is to check the other side of the island, right?

Guess so!

I wanted to check the rest of the island anyway.
