DAY 0 - Morning

[Good morning, contestants!

One moment, you were receiving a mysterious envelope marked "Greetings from Islandia". The next moment, you're waking up on a beach.

Twenty-four people are scattered across the sands of a beautiful tropical beach, all somewhere in the middle of waking up. To your right, a sunrise over a gentle sea. To your left, dense, vibrant jungle.

There are two signs of civilization here! One is a shipwreck, about half of a good-sized ship emerging morosely from the waves. The other is a wooden sign at the edge of the jungle, showing simply an arrow pointing deeper into the island. Looking a bit closer, there is a narrow but well-maintained path into the jungle.

[Yeah, assuming it's a desert island isn't the best idea, but Wirt kind of assumed that too. It's a good thing he's good at being in denial about bad situations.]

... Well, it's a trail. Not very helpful for a sign though.

..well, maybe the trail will lead us to society? Just because the sign isn't very helpful, doesn't mean there isn't anything there. R-right?

I guess there's nothing to lose... I think we oughta go in a group though. That way no one gets left on the beach wondering where the hell everyone else went.

Oh. Yeah, I guess we should. [He actually doesn't really care about the others, but if this guy says they should wait, then they should wait.]
