DAY 0 - Morning

[Good morning, contestants!

One moment, you were receiving a mysterious envelope marked "Greetings from Islandia". The next moment, you're waking up on a beach.

Twenty-four people are scattered across the sands of a beautiful tropical beach, all somewhere in the middle of waking up. To your right, a sunrise over a gentle sea. To your left, dense, vibrant jungle.

There are two signs of civilization here! One is a shipwreck, about half of a good-sized ship emerging morosely from the waves. The other is a wooden sign at the edge of the jungle, showing simply an arrow pointing deeper into the island. Looking a bit closer, there is a narrow but well-maintained path into the jungle.

Aw, that's great! I think you kinda need a ship to be wrecked to be shipwrecked, though! Hahahaha!

That's not true. You can be shipwrecked in a lot of things, like a ship or a barrel or a hat...but there's a ship over there!

[Pointing down the beach to the shipwreck in the distance.]

Anyway, it's not so bad a place to wash up on, right?

Not at all! I can think of a ton of worse places to wash up! It'd be really bad if you washed up someplace with no ocean, because then you couldn't wash!

Oh yeah, then you'd be all stinky! That'd be a problem for sure!

Exactly! It'd be no good! So I'm glad we're here on this island!

Oh no! But Cornelius can't swim in the ocean! He'll get stinky for sure!

That's okay! We'll find nice, fresh water, and then Cornelius can be not stinky anymore!
