DAY 0 - Morning

[Good morning, contestants!

One moment, you were receiving a mysterious envelope marked "Greetings from Islandia". The next moment, you're waking up on a beach.

Twenty-four people are scattered across the sands of a beautiful tropical beach, all somewhere in the middle of waking up. To your right, a sunrise over a gentle sea. To your left, dense, vibrant jungle.

There are two signs of civilization here! One is a shipwreck, about half of a good-sized ship emerging morosely from the waves. The other is a wooden sign at the edge of the jungle, showing simply an arrow pointing deeper into the island. Looking a bit closer, there is a narrow but well-maintained path into the jungle.

[pauses for a thoughtful moment, before letting out a hum]

What kinda vacation is this if it has to be shared with others?

Hey now. I'm charming, friendly, and entertaining to boot. Who wouldn't want to have me as fellow castaway?

A vacation taken alone is a pretty boring vacation, if you ask me.

[ Well, he did kind of succeed at getting someone antisocial to speak to him so his skill in that can't be too bad. The rest she'll decide for herself later. ]

It's a relaxing one when alone.

How can anyone rest while you're all running around like chickens with your heads cut off?

[he gives her a flat look]

I'm not running around like a headless chicken.

I'm enjoying the view from way up on top of this rock.

[ Note how he's the only person she's spoken to because of that reason alone. ]

So you're sitting put.

Standing put, technically.

[taps the toes of his sneakers against the rock]

I can see a li'l more of the area this way. Though. . .

There isn't really much to see other than water and plants.

Could've told you that myself. [ Congratulations on figuring out what everyone else knows just in a more logical manner. ]

Take it you don't know where the hell we are either?

[well, he sure was hoping there would be more. it stinks that there isn't]

[he replies with sarcastic cheer]

But I thin I might have a pretty educated guess.

So spill it already, boy. [ That's her way of asking him to tell her.

. . . did you receive an envelope with the words "Greetings from Islandia" on it prior to your arrival?

I don't recall. [ Usually Kokutou handles the mail, not her.

Maybe it was something she opened in a rush? Who knows... ]
