DAY 0 - Morning

[Good morning, contestants!
One moment, you were receiving a mysterious envelope marked "Greetings from Islandia". The next moment, you're waking up on a beach.
Twenty-four people are scattered across the sands of a beautiful tropical beach, all somewhere in the middle of waking up. To your right, a sunrise over a gentle sea. To your left, dense, vibrant jungle.
There are two signs of civilization here! One is a shipwreck, about half of a good-sized ship emerging morosely from the waves. The other is a wooden sign at the edge of the jungle, showing simply an arrow pointing deeper into the island. Looking a bit closer, there is a narrow but well-maintained path into the jungle.
Welcome to Islandia!]

Isn't that a mode of water transportation?

im not letting you edit that typo SUCKERhe shakes his head in mock long-suffering]Not quite what I meant. Lemme guess--you've never seen a boat before? Yeah, that's what this looks like. Buuuut that ain't a real boat. Get the toy analogy yet?
no subject
Yes, I 'get' it. Someone went through the trouble of creating a ridiculous toy version.

Axel. Got it memorized? [taps his fucking temple because hes an ASSHOLE] An' nah, not really. Something made to match the settings? I'd say it's to make us believe we've been shipwrecked, but I haven't taken a step inside a ship in ... ever.
no subject
Shipwrecked. So a trick, then?
no subject
Unless getting mysterious envelopes and waking up in a whole other place is usual for you, yeah, that's what I'm going for.
[...is axel really the only one who finds the whole thing suspicious]
no subject
My name is Meryl Stryfe. I represent the Bernadelli insurance the society.
...No. I imagine whoever is behind this will have some explaining to do.
no subject
They do, an' I've got this hunch they're probably not gonna give those explanations willingly.
no subject
Have you dealt with this kind of situation before, Mr. Axel?
[A LITTLE TOO GENRE SAVVY THERE, PAL]
no subject
What, brought to a place I can't leave against my will by some mysterious forces? Nope.
[...what. it's true. just because he and people he knew did it to others]

You sound as though you've had some prior experience.

If you know something, now is the time to share.
no subject
Honestly? Biggest thing I gotta share is saying this whole thing is iffy is putting it mildly.
no subject
Yes... "Iffy." [Iffy.. god... use your big boy words, Axel. She clears her throat!]
If we're going to investigate, I suppose we'll have to start with this.. toy boat.

Anything so far?

[that last part he totally says after she is far enough in the water for it to have been way more useful BEFORE THAT]
